Action Screens is highly rated for a reason! Replacing a damaged window screen finally worked its way up to the top of my priority list. I thought I could just go to Home Depot and pick up a replacement. No! I learned that window screens are not in any sort of standardized sizes. Highly unlikely you’ll walk into a home improvement store and find what you need on the shelf.Another option is to order online from a business dedicated to replacement screens but you must be EXACT in your measurements, thickness, where the tabs or springs are located. It’s expensive and I can imagine the damage rates of large flimsy items sliding down freight ramps along with big heavy packages.Or…. you can go to this place and hopefully have the same experience I did. I walked right in with torn screen in hand. A young man immediately greeted me, confirmed I wanted a screen replaced, took it from me and said “give us 5 minutes.” Say what, five minutes? (Says the voice in my head). We’ll see.No more than 5 minutes later a different man calls my name, with my repaired screen in hand. 16 bucks and some odd cents, I assume before tax. I handed him a $20 and said keep the change. It would have been more than three times that amount to order a replacement online. It was a bit of a drive from SE Vancouver but overall a big time and money savings. Worth the trip for sure.

We had a hole in a window screen and needed it fixed asap. I called to confirm I could just show up, and he said yes. He wasn’t kidding! Paul took my screen as he was helping another customer on the phone, went in back, and came back 3 minutes later with the frame re-screened. As he handed it to me, I said “I also wanted to ask…” but as I looked at the screen, he’d already added the two black plastic pull tabs that were missing previously. I didn’t even have to ask!
